Electrical Engineers on board a large fishing freezer trawler "Dmitry Kozharsky"

Visiting the vessels of the FOR Group companies by cadets of the Kaliningrad maritime training institutes has already become a good tradition, and, taking into account the lack of training vessels in the country, it is also an excellent addition to the learning process. 

The Kaliningrad Regional Organization of the Seafarers' Union of Russia tries its best to assist young people with that. 

Thus, future Electrical Engineers, first-year cadets of Kaliningrad Marine Fishing College, visited a large fishing freezer trawler "Dmitry Kozharsky", moored at the Fishing Port. 

According to the Chairperson of the KRO SUR Lyudmila Izmalkova, it was the first visit of the first-year students on board an operating fishing vessel. They examined the main units and machines of the trawler, went to the cabins and talked with the crew. 

— The feedback we receive from teachers of Kaliningrad training institutions confirms that such visits provoke genuine interest in the profession and a desire to study even better, — she said.

The chairperson of the KRO SUR stated that the union will continue to actively cooperate with the FOR Group companies in order to arrange visits on board vessels for cadets.
