The company-shipowner of
the vessel "Winner", which was previously detained in the port of
Nakhodka for non-payment of wages to Russian crew members, paid off the debts.

confirmed this information.As previously reported,
the FETO SUR Inspectors together
with together with the Assistant of the
Nakhodka Transport Prosecutor's Office and Port State Control Officers visited
the MV "Winner" as part of the Concentrated Inspection Campaign of
the Paris and Tokyo Memorandums of Understanding on Port State Control.
The FETO SUR Inspectors checked
insurance certificates and asked the crew about the amount of insurance payout
the specified in the employment agreement next of kin should receive in case of
a fatal accident with a seafarer on voyage. It turned out that the crew members
did not know the insurance amount, since it was not indicated in their
employment agreements or its Appendixes.
Having completed the
inspection of the vessel, the PSC Officers decided to detain the vessel at the
port of Nakhodka until the wage debts were fully paid off and the deficiencies
regarding the technical condition of the vessel were addressed.
As soon as the next day
all the debts were paid off, and the technical deficiencies identified during
were in the process of addressing. The M/V "Winner" has already left
for the roadstead.
