Future Marine Engineers visited a research vessel Akademik Ioffe

The research vessel Akademik Ioffe (IMO 8507731, flag of Russia), which returned from another voyage, opened its doors to first-year cadets of the Marine Engineering Branch of the Kaliningrad Maritime Fishing College. The Kaliningrad Territorial Organization of the Seafarers’ Union of Russia (KTO SUR) arranged the first in this academic year excursion on board the vessel for the cadets. Under the guidance of watch officers, more than 30 cadets explored everything on board - from bridge to engine room. The head of the marine conventional training department of the Kaliningrad Maritime Fishing College Mikhail Nikishin together with college lecturers joined the excursion. 

We add that the excursions for cadets aboard the vessels are becoming a good tradition. In this way, KTO SUR continues to familiarize young people with their future profession.
