The XIV St. Petersburg International Educational Forum continues its work in St. Petersburg, within the framework of which the conference “Maritime Traditions in the Patriotic Education of Citizens of the Russian Federation” - “Sea for Children!” is held. Three main sites which host the conference are the Admiral Makarov State Maritime University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, the St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University and the St. Petersburg Marine Technical Academy named after Admiral D.N. Senyavin.
On March 27, as part of the panel “Media Resources. Talk about the sea” a meaningful discussion took place on the performance of youth media centres and on the way they cover maritime topics. The range of issues stated in the panel program provided for the participation of both a young audience and presentations by professionals. The panel participants listened with great interest to the speech of the Deputy Principal of the Maritime Lyceum of the Primorsky District Razdolgin A.A. about the work of lyceum students on making the “Atlas of Maritime Professions”, the presentation of the methodologist of the Center for Regional and International Cooperation Bashmakova A.I. on the prospects for the development of a network of media centres of professional educational organizations in St. Petersburg, and also took part in a workshop given by Letunovsky N.V., the director of the Maritime Media Center of the Marine Technical Academy named after Admiral D.N. Senyavin.
As part of the work of the panel, a discussion of the reports took place with the involvement of the SUR representatives. At the end of the event, moderator Uryadov A.K., a Deputy Director for Information and External Relations of the MTA named after admiral Senyavin D.N., gave the participants a tour of the academy, including a visit to the museum historical and patriotic centre "Worthy Sons of the Fatherland."
