The crew members of MV Autumn Stream have nothing to complain about

The reefer ship Autumn Stream (IMO 9038323, flag of the Bahamas) of the Dutch company Seatrade was stuck unloading at the port of Kaliningrad for several days - stormy winds did not allow quick unloading.

According to Lyudmila Izmalkova, Chairman of the Kaliningrad Territorial Organization of the Seafarers’ Union of Russia (KTO SUR), who visited MV Autumn Stream, the vessel has a multinational crew on board. It consists of Filipinos, Latvians and Russians – from the Far East and Kaliningrad.

The crew includes cadets either. They got to the reefer through the Dutch company's  cadet program: future seafarers  undergo practical training on board - both on the navigational bridge and in the engine room.

Lyudmila Izmalkova emphasized that the seafarers  spoke with great pleasure about their work: and with good reason, the ship is in excellent technical condition, crew changes are arranged on time and wages are paid on time either. By the way, the wage fund for seafarers has recently been increased.

As soon as the weather cleared in Kaliningrad, the crew began to make up for lost time.

“The next port of destination is in Poland, where the seafarers will go with gifts and souvenirs from SUR,”  Izmalkova added.
