The BTO SUR reminds what to do in case of a disability certificate loss

The Baltic Territorial Organization of the Seafarers' Union of Russia (BTO SUR) recalled the procedure in case of a disability certificate loss. The relevant information is posted on the BTO SUR website. Earlier, a seafarer, who is currently retired, approached the Union’s lawyers with this question.

According to the Union's specialists, there is no need to re-pass the medical and social assessment (MSA) to obtain the duplicate. It is enough to submit an application electronically through Portal of Government Services or in person to the MSA Agency at your home area. Copies of the passport and of the old certificate of previously conducted MSA will be required, if the latter is available. You can pick up the required document at the MSA Agency; the document preparation will take up to 30 days. It is possible to receive it by mail.
