The crew of “SCF Endeavor” thanked the trade union for purchasing a game console
The captain of SCF Endeavor Ivan Tomshin, on behalf of the ship's crew, sent a letter of thanks to the Pacific Regional Organization of Seafarers’ Union of Russia with gratitude for their assistance in acquiring a Sony PlayStation game console.
“The opportunity to step back from the work during a time, free from the watches, will undoubtedly improve the psychological environment on board the ship and enhance labor efficiency. It’s nice to know that there is an organization that takes care of us,”- reads the letter.
It should be noted that the SUR PRO has long been implementing a social program. Within this project the Union makes efforts to renew and replenish gyms on board with training equipment and exercise machines, to upgrade telecommunications equipment for high-quality reception of television programs and Wi-Fi signals and to improve recreational facilities on board. SCF Endeavor was included in the program either. Thanks to the Union efforts, over the past few years the vessel get a race track, weights plates, press-ups' stops, a punch bag, a speed jump rope, hand-to-hand fight gloves, leg weights, satellite TV, and now - a game console.
By the way, the crews of other ships have not being left without SUR PRO' s attention, a similar social program is being implemented for them .
It remains to be added that the crew of the SCF Endeavor wished the trade union prosperity and stability and expressed hope for continued cooperation. In turn, the SUR PRO Chairman Nikolay Zadoyanov assured that the trade union plans to continue to help crew members keep fit and improve their recreation facilities.
