This is the best part of life

Trade union committee of the STO SUR held the retirement party for seafarers. This is a traditional event within the framework of the joint program of support for pensioners of the Sovcomflot Group and the Seafarers Union of Russia.

Every year it is held on the eve of the professional holiday - the Day of Seafarers. This year, 26 ex. seafarers received a one-time cash payment and personal letters of thanks signed by the General Director of Sovcomflot I.Tonkovidov and the head of the SUR Yuriy Sukhorukov.

You have given many years to the fleet, and this best part of your life will remain with you forever. The company and the trade union thank you for your conscientious long-term work, for motivating new generations of Russian seafarers by your example, - Nikolay Popov, the chairman of the STO SUR, addressed the newly-made pensioners.

The children of many seafarers retiring today really continue the professional dynasty. So, for example, it happened in the family of the cook from m/v NS Yakutia Igor Kudaltsov- currently his son works on the vessels of Novoship. Igor Anatolyevich himself gave almost 40 years to the fleet. And even after retirement, he is not going to say goodbye to the sea so that he has already got a job on a small storage vessel.

The work left a lot of vivid impressions in everyone's memory. For Chef cook Elvira Mikhlyukova, this is the redelivery of m/v Nikolay Zuyev in South Korea, for Alla Myshkovskaya- visits to new countries and continents.

The Strait of Magellan left the strongest impression.  We went ashore in Argentina, in Brazil; these countries are also very memorable. I think we are very lucky to work at this time and in this company,- recalls Alla Nikolaevna.

The seafarers also recalled the hardships of work- strong storms, pitching and the constant change of time zones during the flights. But any storm ends, and already on the second day you forget about all the bad things. Working in the fleet is really interesting, it has many advantages and gives you the opportunity to arrange your life with dignity,  - says turner Viktor Neustroev
