Collective bargaining is for the seafarers benefit

SUR primary union organization of the Atlantic branch of the Institute of Oceanology named after P. P. Shirshov of the Russian Academy of Sciences  signed a collective agreement on six research vessels (NIS), working under the Russian flag and registered in the port of Kaliningrad. They are Akademik Mstislav Keldysh (IMO 7811018), Akademik Sergey Vavilov (IMO 8507729), Akademik Ioffe (IMO 8507731), Akademik Nikolay Strakhov (IMO 8211174), Akademik Boris Petrov (IMO 8211150) and Professor Shtokman (IMO 7703027).

The operational manager, the Fleet's Atlantic Base, plans to send four vessels (with scientific teams on board) from the Baltic to the Barents Sea, as early as the end of May. «This agreement was signed by our union representative Alexander Bevzyuk, and the document itself was registered in the Registration Department of the State Institution of the Kaliningrad region, - said Vadim Mamontov, Chairman of the Kaliningrad territorial organization of the SUR. The new document is valid from 2021 to 2023, and covers 228 Russian seafarers.
