SUR Primary Trade Union Organization of the Samara River Passenger Enterprise signed a new collective agreement which improves working conditions

The SUR Primary Trade Union Organization of the Samara River Passenger Enterprise (SRPE) signed a new collective agreement valid from March 12, 2021 to March 12, 2024. As the Ñhairman of the trade union committee Elena Startseva said, the administration of the SRPE for almost two months have been considering many additional points introduced in the collective agreement, which improve the working conditions. This is an increase in the salaries of employees for individual positions, for example, the wage of an AB of a self-propelled/non-self-propelled vessel increased from 17,900 rubles to 21,000 rubles. As for the salary of the Captain / Engineer, so far it remains at the same level-34,850 rubles, but the trade union committee will continue to work on increasing salaries for all categories of employees. The collective agreement stipulates that emergency work performed by the crew in excess of the working hours will be recorded in a separate wage account and paid for the actual duration in double. The amount of financial assistance to employees increased from 3,000 to 5,000 rubles. Another important point is that employees of the SRPE can be trained and improve their skills at the expense of the employer. «This is practically a new collective agreement that improves the working conditions of the SRPE employees on many points. We plan to deliver a copy of the collective agreement to each pier (stopping point), so that everyone can get acquainted with it», - says Elena Startseva.

On August 6, 2020, at the extraordinary conference of the trade union committee delegates discussed proposals for the new collective agreement. It was about increasing the salaries of employees, bonuses based on the results of navigation, increasing the cost of meal on ships, surcharges for cramped working conditions (such as the ship is limited in maneuver, insufficient depth, intensive navigation), emergency work and work with the bow ladder.

Almost all of this is taken into account in the new collective agreement with the exception of the cost of meals on ship, it remains the same – 233 rubles per day per person. And as noted above, not all employees have received a salary increase, but the SRPE promises to do so.

«The enterprise is subsidized, sometimes there are not enough funds for the most necessary things. For example, the current repair of piers constantly requires boards, paint and metal. Therefore, it is important to increase the profitability of the enterprise primarily through the development of commercial routes»,-says the Ñhairman of the Central-West Siberian Territorial Organization of the Seafarers Union of Russia Sergey Savostin. It should be noted that the SUR Primary Trade Union Organization of the Samara River Passenger Enterprise unites 86 members.
