In Sevastopol seafarers fell for the scam

For 25,000 rubles he promised three seafarers to apply for Schengen visas and help them with employment. The sailors agreed. After transferring the money the fraudster did not fulfill his obligations. There could have been more victims in this case but police officers stopped the actions of the swindler. Now he will appear before the court, - reports stv92.ru resource. The materials of the criminal case have already been delivered to the Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol.

According to investigators the scammer found three seafarerswho wanted to get a jobon VKontakte social. He introduced himself as an employee of a crewing company although he was not and promised to find a way to get the sea job.

Once again the seafarers fell for the scammer’s "bait" although it’s as clear as a day- if somebody asks money for employment- there’s got to be a catch.

- Fortunately this incident for seafarers ended well. As a result of investigation work  the law enforcement agencies managed to find a fraudster and return money to the victims in full which is extremely difficult,-says ArtemBoev, the chairman of the SUR shop floor union organization of the Sevastopol. - Once again I want to warn seafarers from false crewing agencies and recall that the services of a crewing agency are always paid by the shipowner not the seafarers. Before you start working with a particular agency find out more about it or seek advice from the SUR in your region.
