The union is pleased with good living conditions on Pola Onega
Clean and tidy conditions and a crew satisfied with labour conditions were witnessed by the inspectors from the Kaliningrad Regional Organization of the Seafarers' Union of Russia (SUR KRO).
- The Maltese-flagged POLA ONEGA (IMO 9674361) has the IBF's collective agreement signed with the SUR. As a result, the ship hasn't any problem, - Pyotr Dzendzelyuk, the lawyer at SUR KRO, said. - The ship's crew includes 17 Russian seafarers who are the SUR's members. They met the inspectors like their best friends, expressed gratitude for our visit and say thanks for the Morskoi Profsoyuzny Vestnik magazines which we brought at the board.
Also Pyotr Dzendzelyuk described, in his view, one of the main reason for the good mood of the crew – a permanent seafarers' staff. They are rotated by each other and work in the coordinated and permanent team. It is a reason for friendly conditions here.
The SUR KRO's inspectors generally and in full were satisfied by the working and living conditions on bulk carrier POLA ONEGA.
- We would like to see more such ships and such inspections, - Pyotr Dzendzelyuk shared his view. - We are pleased to see the seafarers who are enjoyed by their work.
